How beean powers People Possession’s brewing experience

People Possession (part of TANAT) is a Paris-based specialty coffee roaster with a distinctly bold identity and superior blends. The brand is built on the intersection of street culture and exceptional coffee: unmistakable packaging and a community that takes both aesthetics and taste seriously.

The Problem

Before using our solution, People Possession’s customers were left to figure it out on their own. Posts like this one were showing up in coffee communities:

The coffee was doing its job. The customer just didn’t have the right starting point for it. Without guidance specific to that coffee, their grinder, and their water, even enthusiastic buyers ended up frustrated. That frustration landed in support inboxes.

The Solution

Now, every People Possession coffee comes with a brew guide built specifically for it. Through a widget embedded on each product page, customers get settings converted to a starting point on their grinder, water recommendations based on their country, and exact steps for that coffee.

The widget is custom-designed to match People Possession’s bold visual identity, feeling native to their site rather than a bolted-on tool. For customers still deciding whether to buy, seeing a clear, personalized brew guide right on the product page answers the question before it becomes a hesitation.

People Possession’s coffees are also featured in our mobile app, giving their customers a better brewing experience on the go and a way to stay up to date with new releases. Every brew guide in the app links directly to the product page, so discovering a new coffee and buying it is one tap away.

This turns our recipe app into a new marketing channel for roasters: their coffees in front of an engaged audience of home brewers, with a direct path to purchase.

The Impact

The most immediate effect has been a reduction in brewing-related customer support questions. Customers arrive with the information they need before they ever reach out.

Beyond support, something more organic has happened: customers share their brew guides on social media and in coffee forums. When someone posts their setup with a People Possession coffee, the guide travels with it, reaching new audiences and showing exactly how to brew the coffee as it was intended. It becomes both a word-of-mouth tool and a quality signal for the brand.

The result is happier customers who get a great cup on the first try, stronger loyalty, and a brand presence that extends well past the point of purchase

“I am new to pour over and wanted to try something a bit more funky. Someone here recommended People Possession, I followed their recipe, with probably not the optimal pouring technique. And it was a really really good cup. The flavours definitely came through – peach iced tea was strong. Super interesting experience.”

“Their website suggests 13g coffee for 210g water at 93c 3 70g pours, 40 second bloom and the 3rd at 1:10. It also has grind size and water suggestions based on grinder/location, it’s pretty awesome!”

“Tried out with recipe and it was delicious”
